There's no trick to winning sweepstakes. It's a drawing. But some people do win a lot more than others, and it isn't luck. They just enter more of the right ones, more often, and they don't quit after two weeks.
Enter every time you're allowed
If a sweepstakes allows one entry a day and it runs for 30 days, someone who enters daily has 30 chances. Someone who enters once has one. That's the biggest difference between people who win and people who don't. Our daily entry list is a good place to start.
Go where the crowd isn't
- Short sweepstakes. One that runs a week gets fewer entries than one that runs six months.
- Local and regional ones. Open to one state or city means a much smaller pool.
- Ones that take a little effort. A photo, a short answer, a mail-in card. Lots of people skip these.
- Lots of prizes. 500 gift cards beats one car for your odds. See sweepstakes with lots of winners.
Don't break the rules
Using extra email addresses, having your spouse enter on your behalf, or running a script will get your entries tossed, and sometimes your win taken back. One person, one entry, as often as the rules say.
Actually check for wins
People lose prizes every day because the email went to spam and the 48-hour deadline passed. Check your sweepstakes inbox and spam folder often, and answer fast.
Stick with it
Most people who win regularly have been entering for months. It adds up slowly, then a box shows up at your door.
The hard part is remembering. SweepQueue reminds you when each sweepstakes resets, so entering daily takes a few minutes instead of a spreadsheet.
